"Kassit Days"

"‬Kassit Days," exhibited in 2010, portrays Tel Avivís cultural life in the 1960ís, 70ís and early 1980ís,† when Dizengoff street was the

center of Tel Aviv and Cafe Kassit, whose name became a symbol of the period, was the center of Dizengoff.

Tzachi Ostrovsky, who grew up on Dizengoff, used to roam the area with his camera, photographing the cityís cafes and nightlife,

its actors, politicians, writers, directors, musicians, singers and song writers - many of them friends and acquaintances.

Over the years he built up a collection of images featuring some† of Israelís best known personalities. A selection of those images are

shown here.
